.) Do not discuss controversial subjects such as suicide, self-harm, drugs, abuse, rape, politics, religion, sexual topics, etc. in roleplay or chat. These are uncomfortable for a lot of people and don't belong on a cat roleplaying site.
.) Be polite and respectful to all members, ranks, and staff of the site. Bullying and harassment are not tolerated. Keep in mind that the ranks and staff have lives outside of TLP, and can miss messages in the chat. Be polite and patient when requesting things from them.
.) Do not take events in roleplay personally. Roleplay does not represent the views or opinions of the person. Disrespecting a high rank or breaking the code can result in punishment or exile.
.) Raids, large plots, and big prophecies require approval from an owner. Small things, such as a visit from Starclan or a mini-prophecy, are okay so long as they don't affect the entire clan/site.
.) Refrain from killing or seriously injuring your partner's character without permission. The exception are invaders or exiled characters refusing to leave the territory.
.) The only characters allowed to have knowledge of herbs and healing are medicine cats and medicine cat apprentices. Non-medicine cats are only permitted to know basic first-aid, such as cobwebs, poppy seeds, and marigold.
.) Your character may only be in one Clan at a time.
.) A single litter may not exceed 8 kittens, stillborns included.
.) Your username should be your character's name (example: "Dustynose"). We ask that you refrain from having symbols or using alternate fonts in your name, as it can be annoying to some people in the chatboxes. All content must be appropriate. Usernames should easily eligible and a reasonable length.
.) All Clan cat names should be realistic to some degree. Leaders hold the right to refuse an apprentice's new name if it is unrealistic. Examples of unrealistic names include: Santaclaw, Popcornkit, Unicornface, Enchantedheart, Twistedsoul, Happyspirit, Sparklypaws, Starsoul, etc.
.) Characters with powers (mind-reading, flying, running at the speed of light, etc) are not permitted. This includes prophecy powers.
.) You may only roleplay domestic cat breeds. The exception is in the event of a plot involving another species, in which case staff/owner permission is required.
.) Do not post links to other sites in the chatboxes. Banned links include Discords, Rabbits, and similar sites. Links to sharing sites such as Youtube, DeviantART, Photobucket and Tinypic are fine as long as the content is appropriate. Streams are permitted so long as they're relevant to TLP.
). Do not use, trace, or recolor artwork that was not created by or for you. Crediting the artist doesn't count. Free linearts/bases are permitted so long as the artist's rules are followed. If a member refuses to take down stolen/misused artwork, they will be banned and reported to the artist for theft.
.) Your characters height cannot exceed 14 inches (head to toe) or fall below 7 inches (full grown). The average cat size is 9-10 inches. Character scale sizes must be realistic to this rule. Breeds that exceed the height rule or don't meet the requirement aren't allowed on TLP.
.) Do not beg or suck up for a high rank. All of the high ranks on TLP have been and will be chosen for activity, helpfulness, and roleplaying skill. High ranks are earned and not given. Click here for the guide to becoming a high rank.
.) Loners, Rogues, and Kittypets must take a realistic clan name upon joining a clan.
.) The only breeds allowed are common American breeds. Banned breeds include Munchkins, Servals, African cats, and hybrid wildcats. Only current or past kittypets can realistically be purebred. Breeds that exceed the height limitations are not permitted.
.) You must seek permission from a clan leader if you'd like your loner/rogue/clan character to join. Anyone caught attempting to join without asking will be chased out, and possibly killed if they refuse to leave. Leaders reserve the right to deny a join request if it is unrealistic or if joining is closed.
.) You cannot make up fake past ranks for backstory/roleplay purposes, and you cannot say your character was a past rank if they never were Bryniel/TLP. The history and ranks of other sites do not apply to Bryniel/TLP characters.
.) Only current leaders may have star as their suffix. Past leaders return to their warrior name upon stepping down.
.) Your character may not have the same name as someone else in your clan. This is to avoid confusion and arguments.
.) Only deputies may send/take out patrols, unless permission is given by the clan leader/deputy or staff.
.) Clan characters can only take one mate at a time. Loner/rogues/kittypets that do not live under the same rules/codes as the clans can take multiple mates at once.
.) Your character may not be related to any character's in the Warriors books. TLP's history is completely separate from that of the official books.
.) Only Warriors and above may have a mate or kits. Apprentices and Kits cannot take mates or have kits.
.) Your character cannot discuss issues of the clan with outsiders, or magically know things they hadn't been told of. All information your character knows must be gained through roleplay. If you would like to discuss your clans matters with another clan, you must seek staff permission beforehand.
.) Rogue groups are permitted so long as they're realistic. Any plots/raids involving the clans require approval from an owner. Healers are not permitted to know of herbs beyond basic first-aid (see rule 7).
.) Staff and high rank's word is law. They have the final authority on TLP's rules and regulations.
